WHO?

He was born in 1971.

He graduated from the state high school, Kazım İşmen, which is the smallest high school in Istanbul. In high school, he tried to reinvent(!) things that had actually been invented, such as trying to fly by making a delta wing and making an electric car. He founded a music group called Roof, composed music without knowing musical notes, built the group's workbench in the garden of the apartment where he lived.

He won both Mimar Sinan University Fine Arts Department Industrial Design and Anadolu University Communication Sciences Faculty Cinema-TV department with special talent exams. In 1989, he went to Eskişehir to study Cinema-TV. During his university years, he realized a lot of things outside of the classes. In this environment that encourages creativity and the opportunities provided by the school; He made more than 30 short films. In these films, there is almost no friend left that he did not act, explode, burn, or tie a rope and hang from somewhere. He was particularly interested in special effects. He built a kind of steadicam, which was used at school for years after graduation. He established the closed-circuit television and radio of the school and operated it with his friends. He created a visual library on camera equipment with the documents he collected from manufacturers from all over the world. He graduated in 1994.

In his working life, which he started while studying at the university, 35 mm. camera assistant, 35 mm. and video editing, waitressing, architecture and fashion photography. The year he graduated, he started to work as a promotion director at ATV. He left after 3 months. He worked as one and only :) assistant to famous advertising director Ali Tara for more than 1 year. Then, after working as an advertising director during the newspaper commerical films period, he returned to TV again, he directed "Tatemi" and "İner Misin Çıkar mısın?" shows. Both shows 'broke the rating records' of the that period.

He joined the Anons advertising agency founded by his friends from ATV as a partner. Although he was responsible for the video-film part of the work during this period, he also worked in the field of graphics out of necessity and gained knowledge and experience in the fields of printing, design and graphics. After the job interview he went to to enter CINE5 (payed movie channel), the job interview ended and he was hired, he saw that the place where he was hired was not CINE5, but CNNTÜRK (!), which was just being established :) CNNTÜRK, where he worked as executive producer for 7 years, was a turning point in terms of experience. The methodical installation adventure that started with the Americans turned to the groping method after a while, but many firsts were created here in terms of Turkish television. He started his job as an executive producer -sometimes executable- :) in charge of culture, art and documentary programs, and expanded over time, managing the entire program team, camera and editing teams. He worked in many areas ranging from device purchases to new system installations, from personnel recruitment to management of production expenses and the creation of new formats. In addition to all these, he also directed some special productions, live broadcasts and documentaries thanks to his directing experience. CNNTÜRK received the 'creativity award of the year' from Aydın Doğan for its project that transformed the decor and light with only 2 staff and a working time of 15 minutes in the studio where the discussion programs were shot, enabling the shooting of 13 programs in a single studio.

After CNNTÜRK, he became the head of MTV INTERNATIONAL's local MTV music channel, which will start to be established in Turkey, as 'Head of Production'. The installation work carried out with the British team took about 1 year. He undertook the management of consultancy and creative works in all matters from the interior layout of the channel to the technical installation of the channel at MTV. He created the local visual look for the channel, designed its programs and formed the creative team. He spent brief periods in London and Berlin for training and experience, and in these countries to review their MTV.

He founded FİLMEKİBİ after MTV. Meanwhile, DOĞAN YAYIN HOLDING established DOĞAN TELESHOPPING in partnership with French TF1 TELESHOPPING. FİLMEKİBİ first started to produce teleshopping videos for this company. This is how the business partnership, which will continue for 8 years without interruption and will grow every year, has started. He established the first studio in Zekeriyaköy for the shooting of the teleshopping program HER EVE LAZIM. During the filming, he also participated in the Teleshopping shootings of the French partner TF1 television in Paris for a short time. Doğan-TF1 partnership, which came to a breaking point with the removal of HER EVE LAZIM program from KANAL D broadcast stream, revived the Doğan-TF1 partnership with its project proposal, thus, for the first time in Turkey, a complete TV channel was outsourced to a production company and DSHOPPING was born. He started to create a shopping channel from scratch, he will broadcast everything from the visual identity to all the programs of this channel that will broadcast 24 hours a day designed it. This channel continued for 8 years with shootings from FİLMEKİBİ studios (which is designed by him) and live broadcasts from Kanal D studios.

He carried out various studies in parallel with his teleshopping works. He designed and produced the technology program called Tekno HD for Turkey's first HD channel, TRT HD. The program continued for more than 2 years and became a program that determined the technology agenda of Turkey. As a result of the conversion of TRT HD to TRT 4K, Turkey's first 4K TV programs were realized and broadcast on TRT 4K. TRT programs then continued with NIGHT LIVES on TRT NEWS channel. He designed and implemented program packages for TV 360 and DSMART channels. It successfully combined mass content productions with economic costs, speed and quality production. For example, he made all the entertainment and cultural programs of TV 360 for about a year. Likewise, he produced 3-4 different formats per month for SMARTMAX and SPORMAX channels. The rating record holder in the ATV era made TATEMİ again for encrypted SMARTSPOR.

After DSHOPPING, which came to life with the innovative and effective production model he developed, he established Turkey's first food channel; PLANET MUTFAK, with the same model. He designed everything from the name of the channel to its visual identity and created all the program formats. In a sense, this channel broke a record by producing 80 different episodes of cooking shows every month! PLANET MUTFAK was held in FİLMEKİBİ's studios, just like DSHOPPING and other channels. After Zekeriyaköy, he established 2 more studios, first in Taksim and then in Seyrantepe for FİLMEKİBİ. After channel installations and program content production, he focused on digital content production since 2015.

The original design of the Seyrantepe studio, capable of mass production for TV, was easily revised for digital content production, and this time it became Turkey's most optimal digital content production studio. With this arrangement and innovative approaches, ÜLKER produced long-term digital content for food-oriented companies such as FEAST, YUDUM, SALAT. He also designed Youtube channels for some companies such as DOĞAN KİTAP, which produces content. In addition to these, he has signed many digital projects.

He met sailing by chance in 2008 and he set his heart on this curiosity. He got an international amateur captain's license. In addition to his thousands of hours of cruising experience in and out of Turkey, he became interested in sailing, and besides winning many first prizes and awards, he became the first in the IRC 1 class with his team in the Istanbul Trophy, the biggest prize. Apart from sailing, another of his interests is model trains. He is also interested in high-end model trains, incorporating electronics, model making and fine carpentry skills.

During her professional career, he continued her post-graduate education, gave lectures at the university and organized various workshops. After completing his master's degree, he started teaching TV programming at Bilgi University. In addition to the undergraduate courses at Bilgi University, Bilgi Eğitim organized short film workshops for non-university participants. He gave applied cinema lessons to participants from a wide range of ages between 15 and 65 in these workshops. He continued his academic studies at Bahçeşehir University. Meanwhile, he completed his doctorate of proficiency in art on cinema and TV. He continued to teach TV programming at Bahçeşehir University. In addition, he taught directing, screenplay, production design and special effects, and served as a consultant for graduation theses.

In 2013, he added his first feature film GİTME BABA to his filmography consisting of only short films. The subject of the movie, which stars actors such as Mustafa Uğurlu, Şenay Gürler, Payidar Tüfekçioğlu, Murat Karasu, Mesut Akusta, Ragıp Yavuz, Yener Gürsoy and Çiğdem Suyolcu, was the life of the mayor of Kuşadası, Lütfi Suyolcu, who was assassinated in 1995.

Since he saw the blood loss in the TV and advertising world in the early 2010s, he concentrated on digital content production. Following the international trends, he took the aforementioned digital content works further in a highly efficient digital content production studio in Seyrantepe. He has worked extensively on digital content, content marketing, in other words, the features of content production for marketing.
